A Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake is finally on the way. We’ve got all the latest on Konami’s upcoming Remake including its platforms at launch, as well as our first look at the game.

The legacy of the Metal Gear Solid franchise is a storied one – and Metal Gear Solid 3 is considered by many to be the cream of the crop. A blend of the series’ intricate stealth system was upgraded to feature new camo elements, survival parameters, and much more.

The game added a whole new level of immersion not previously seen in an MGS game, and it’s why a remake has been at the top of many fans’ wishlists. After years of asking for it and months of speculation, it was finally announced at the PlayStation Showcase 2023.

Do we know when the game is coming out?

Even though the game has been announced, we don’t have any indication when it will arrive. The title’s reveal didn’t give a sniff of a date or even a release window just yet. Given the legacy and popularity of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, we don’t expect it to be rushed.

Platforms

An official press release from Konami following the PlayStation Showcase 2023 event addressed platforms. “Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. today announced METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER is in production and will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.”

So, it has no PlayStation exclusivity, and it will release on Xbox and PC. Not only that, but it will also feature no last-gen ports either.

Even though there was no gameplay, the first trailer for the game captures the feel of the jungle from the original. You can check it out below.
