Best Warzone 2 Sniper Rifle class loadouts: Attachments, Setup, Perks
Activision has given us another season of content for Warzone and with it comes a ton of balance tweaks and even a new sniper rifle. These changes have shaken up the meta so we’ve put together this list of the best sniper rifle class and loadout to use in Warzone 2 Season 5 to help you out.
Warzone 2 Season 5 has arrived introducing with it a brand new sniper rifle, the Carrack .300. Early impressions suggest that the introduction of the Carrack has transformed the sniper meta completely.
This change to the meta is forcing Warzone players to rethink their classes and rebuild them from scratch. Though it can be difficult to know exactly what to use with Modern Warfare 2’s Gunsmith system being the most complicated in the series to date.
To help you figure things out we’ve put together this list of the best snipers in Warzone 2 Season 5 with recommended loadouts for each included.
7. LA-B 330
Best LA-B 330 Warzone 2 Loadout
- Laser: Corio LAZ-44 V3 (-0.27, +51.00)
- Stock: Bryson Streamline (-0.90, +1.32)
- Ammunition: .300 High Velocity (+0.70, +9.00)
- Bolt: FSS ST87 Bolt
- Comb: Aim Assist 406 (+0.00, +0.14)
The LA-B 330 is arguably the weakest sniper in Warzone 2. Not only does it lack a one-shot kill but this bolt-action sniper has a very slow rate of fire and generally poor handling.
All those factors combined make it a well below-average sniper. It’s clear that the LA-B was balanced with multiplayer in mind and whilst that’s all well and good it means there’s practically zero reason to ever use it in Warzone.
6. SP-X 80
Best SP-X 80 Warzone 2 Loadout
- Muzzle: Nilsound 90 (-1.40, -0.58)
- Laser: Corio LAZ-44 v3 (-0.19, +19.45)
- Stock: PVZ-890 TAC (-4.00, +1.55)
- Ammunition: .300 Mag High Velocity (+0.70. +3.15)
- Bolt: FSS ST87 Bolt
Truthfully, the SP-X 80 falls pretty to a lot of the same issues as the LA-B 300. It also can’t secure one-shot kills and has a low rate of fire making it difficult to land required follow-up shots.
However, it does have a slight edge in the fact that it handles far quicker. Its fast ADS speed and sprint-to-fire time make it a somewhat okay option for aggressive sniping, although it’s still difficult to recommend over the alternatives.
5. Victus XMR
Best Victus XMR Warzone 2 Loadout
- Muzzle: Nilsound 90 Silencer (-1.40, +1.00)
- Barrel: Mack 8 33.5 Super (+0.00, -0.10)
- Laser: Accu-Shot 5mW Laser (-0.34, +34.85)
- Ammunition: .50 Cal Explosive (+0.24, +3.15)
- Magazine: 9 Round Mag
The Victus XMR is the first sniper on this list to be able to secure one-shot kills. This is because it gets access to the .50 Cal Explosive rounds that down players in a single headshot.
Despite this, it’s by no means the best sniper in Warzone. When compared to the other snipers that can also kill in one shot, the Victus has no real advantage over them. It handles much slower yet still has comparable bullet velocity leaving it as a viable but outclassed option.
4. FJX Imperium
Best FJX Imperium Warzone 2 Loadout
- Muzzle: Nilsound 90 (-1.40, +1.00)
- Barrel: Fahrenheit 29″ (+0.00, -0.40)
- Laser: Accu-Shot 5mW Laser (-0.14, +21.07)
- Ammunition: .408 Explosive (+0.70, +9.00)
- Bolt: FJX Blast
This is the first sniper on the list that we can recommend with confidence. The FJX Imperium had a lot of hype surrounding its arrival given its history and there were concerns it wouldn’t deliver. Thankfully, that isn’t the case and it serves as a reliable sniping option outside of Ranked Play.
It offers a nice balance of handling and aiming stability while still being able to down players in a single shot. Unfortunately, since Explosive Rounds are disabled in Ranked Play this is only worth using in casual game modes.

3. MCPR-300
Best MCPR-300 Warzone 2 Loadout
- Muzzle: Nilsound 90 (-1.40, +1.00)
- Barrel: 22″ OMX-456 (+0.00, -0.40)
- Laser: Corio LAZ-44 v3 (-0.30, +14.42)
- Ammunition: .300 Mag Explosive (+0.70, +9.00)
- Rear Grip: Cronen Cheetah Grip (-1.00, +0.26)
Performance-wise the MCPR-300 is similar to the FJX Imperium. It has a slightly worse fire rate and bullet velocity but a slightly better ADS speed and sprint-to-fire time. These differences aren’t too substantial though with both being strong options.
What really gives the MCPR-300 the edge as the best bolt action sniper in Warzone 2 is its larger magazine. While the FJX imperium caps out at just 7 rounds with an attachment, the MCPR-300 comes default with 10 rounds.
2. Signal 50
Best Signal 50 Warzone 2 Loadout
- Muzzle: Nilsound 90 Silencer (-0.81, +0.39)
- Laser: Corio LAZ-44 v3 (-0.30, +25.93)
- Ammunition: .50 Cal High Velocity (+0.70, +9.00)
- Magazine: 7 Round Magazine
- Rear Grip: SA Finesse Grip (-0.32, +0.45)
While one-shot kill snipers may be satisfying to use the reality is that Warzone 2 sniping is dominated by semi-autos. For most players, a two-shot with a high bullet velocity is more consistent than a one-shot with a low bullet velocity.
The Signal 50 has established itself as one of the best options to fill this role. Even better is that this loadout isn’t banned in Ranked Play so you are free to run this across both Warzone’s casual and competitive playlists.
1. Carrack .300
Best Carrack .300 Warzone 2 Loadout
- Muzzle: Bruen Agent 90 (+0.81, +0.90)
- Laser: Accu-Shot 5mW Laser (
- Ammunition: .300 High Velocity (
- Magazine: 15 Round Mag
- Rear Grip: TV Nought Grip (+0.58, +0.45)
This is the newest addition to the sniper rifle line-up and it’s already proven to be an incredibly strong one. Having been added in Season 5 the Carrack .300 is Warzone 2’s second semi-auto sniper, but it does have some big advantages over the Signal 50.
The main reason that the Carrack is the new best sniper in Warzone 2 is that it can achieve a spectacular bullet velocity of over 1,500 M/s, has a far higher fire rate, and gets access to a 15 Round Mag. This makes it extremely forgiving and perfect for downing players in two or three quick shots.
That rounds off our list of best Warzone 2 sniper rifles and loadouts. Be sure to check back to this list in the future because buffs and nerfs are almost certain to shuffle it around, and consider checking out some of our other Call of Duty content:
